Your Chef
I am Oscar González Moreno, a passionate Chef educated at the prestigious Escuela Hacienda la Laguna in Baeza, Jaen, close to my family's origins. My insatiable curiosity has led me to work globally, from restaurants and hotels to food fairs, bars, and even the jungle. Fluent in four languages,

I've lived in various countries, cooking for Queen SofÃa and founding culinary projects. I take immense pride in Spain's culinary legacy and its high-quality ingredients, which brings me great joy as I share my knowledge and uncover hidden gems. Beyond the kitchen, I indulge in music, literature, and exploring history. As founder of Spain and the Chef, I craft culinary experiences, infusing cultural history into every dish. Join me on this delightful journey as we create unforgettable experiences for discerning palates.
Our Story
Our journey began years ago in a small Spanish bar in Hamburg, Germany, where Oscar introduced tapas nights, and Jasmin became a regular guest.
Soon, traveling became our passion, immersing ourselves in various cultures, languages, and cuisine.
Making friends worldwide, we had the pleasure to have locals showing us the best culinary and cultural gems. From cooking with their families to visiting bars and restaurants only locals know about (and know exactly what to order, which is even more important!), they made us feel like we were one of them and for us, this was the best way to travel. We returned to Spain in 2018, to start our family, which has been one of the most exciting journeys of all. Though we can't travel like before, we keep our spirit alive by hosting international friends, sharing our culture and cuisine. Grateful for our experiences, we created Spain and the Chef, offering immersive culinary programs for food enthusiasts just like us.
